The home of Connecticut’s minor league baseball team hosted a car meet ran by brokeeast today. In typical fashion to prior years with them it was primarily imports. Hyundai’s are beginning a take over and there were more GTRs of most generations than I thought possible in one location. Two RX-7s had impressive back fire. There were trucks left to sit only in the far background of other photos parked far from the life. Cell phone camera professionals and DSLR wielding folks wandered about. This minor league stadium that is no longer home to the Navigators was a great event( I had to hold myself back from calling it majors since a Concourse is held in CT it would be an insult).

As the event died down a raffle was quickly bumped to an earlier time slot. There were two different raffles; one held by the brokeeast and the other by Rotiform wheels and another company. I purchased my raffle tickets and through them in all except the goodie bag one. When I placed my tickets in the Rotiform wheels bin they had to be fished out since that one was separate. I placed the rest in my buns then walked away.

Time ticked to 415 and it was time for the raffles to begin. Cleaning products were given to the first two winners of a free raffle I missed entirely. Next the raffles I entered began. A Pittsburgh low profile jack and 3 ton stands was first to be called out. But first it was interrupted my a man either intoxicated or in the Hulk Man character. Out of the 14 tickets in my hand, one of mine was called for the prize. I strolled up to claim my prize and declined the Hulk Man from carrying it back to my car. There was a pause before the next raffle of a Sony Bluetooth speaker. Low and behold my number was called up. The host announced that it happened last year that someone had one two prizes. As I stood next to my prizes and friends I told them I was hoping for something but don’t want to talk about it in reference to a perfect game. I did not win the final GoPro. I may have spoke to soon but I’ll still call myself the winner of the day. Enjoy your ride home fast and slammed cars because my trunk is filled with prizes.

The Lexus’s were among best in show with the custom paint and vinyl. Both the green ones had so much depth and variation by angle.

Thank you. It's always a friendly reminder to see it in the rear view.

Those two IS300s look so different, which is kinda what’s so awesome about modifying cars. They might have rolled of the same assembly plant looking very similar, but now 15 years later the look so unique that most people wouldn't notice that they are the same car.
